Wave of Revenu Québec’s false email: here is how to protect yourself

Revenu Québec warns against a wave of fraudulent emails that are currently circulating to fond of Quebec taxpayers.

“When we communicate with you by email or by text, we do not send any attachment and any clickable link,” would like to recall the organization.

The email, which has the appearance of a message from Revenu Québec with its logo, is actually a false.

In recent months, fraud of this type has multiplied with us.

As of June 30, more than 24,411 reports had been treated at the Antifraude Center in Canada concerning various stratagems.

This affects some 17,094 Canadians, for total amounts of $ 342 million.

What Revenu Québec never does

  • Notify by email or text of a payment, a refund or a transfer
  • Provide by email or text the nature of a modification made to the file
  • To say by email or by text that the declaration of income has not been received
  • Request by email or by text personal information
  • Leave a telephone message with confidential data
