Weather report: Heat and blue sky: summer returns this week in Switzerland
After a month of July gray and soggy, the sun is finally installed with temperatures that will flirt with 30 ° C.
From Thursday, the arrival of an anticyclone from the southwest will tip the weather in a real summer register.
lematin.chAfter a month of July marked by the rain and the clouds, the weather in Switzerland is about to change radically. According to Météosuisse, the next few days will see the return of a frank summer perfume, with a heat peaks expected this weekend.
The month which ends will remain memories for its abundant precipitation, especially in the central and oriental Alps. In Altdorf, for example, it fell 281 mm of rain, double the usual average. If the temperatures have not been exceptionally low, the lack of sunshine and the frequent showers darkened the summer season.
This Monday is still promised, with an often cloudy sky in the morning, before some clearings come to brighten up the afternoon. On Tuesday, the sun will already be more generous and temperatures will start to climb slowly.
From Thursday, the arrival of an anticyclone from the southwest will tip the weather in a real summer register. Mercury will then reach 28 ° C in many regions, and even 30 ° C in Valais and Geneva.
From Friday to Sunday, the heat will settle fully: around 30 ° C on a good part of the country, with a peak expected Sunday in Geneva where the thermometer could climb up to 34 ° C.
