Le Belgian football championship resumes this Friday, July 25. The Union Saint-Gilloise, reigning champion, will open the season on the go to Antwerp. The match against FC Antwerp will start at 8:45 p.m. For its part, the Sporting of Anderlecht will welcome Westerlo at the Lotto Park this Sunday, July 27 at 1:30 p.m.
This new season also marks the end of a cycle. On June 16, the Council of State validated the championship reform: the 2025-2026 season will be the last with a play-off system. From next year, the Jupiler Pro League will adopt a classic format at 18 teams, without final phase.
On which channel to follow the matches?
The Jupiler Pro League broadcasting rights have been awarded to Dazn until 2030. All matches will therefore be visible on this platform.
But beware: no agreement has yet been reached with Belgian telecom operators. Dazn announced ten days ago the suspension of negotiations with Proximus, Telenet, Orange and Voo. Consequence: the matches will not be available via these operators for the moment.
The only option to follow the meetings is therefore to subscribe directly to Dazn, at a price of € 19.99 per month.
