You can no longer use the P $ mobile service app to pay for your park in Montreal

To avoid unpleasant surprises and loss of time during your next visit to Montreal, it is recommended to download a new mobile application now to pay your parking. Since August 1, the P $ Mobile Service application has no longer been in office. It was replaced by a brand new tool designed in Quebec, at the request of the Montreal Sustainable Mobility Agency (AMDM).

The novelty is called Mobicity. Like the one you have been using for a while now, it allows you to pay your park from a smartphone, whether in the street or in certain municipal parking lots. But it also offers some new features.

Among the features, we find:

  • An interactive map to identify the parking spaces managed by the AMDM, including the option of seeing the charging stations for electric vehicles as well as the spaces reserved for people with disabilities.
  • Managing several credit cards
  • The possibility of paying more than one place at a time
  • A live timer that displays the remaining time (for each vehicle if you paid two)
  • Better reading of the regulations in force at the chosen place

Other features should be added over the months to make the application even more interactive, according to the AMDM. The transaction rate remains unchanged, at $ 0.07 per operation.

Note that your data from the old application will not be transferred to Mobicity. The AMDM recommends that the population download the new application without delay in order to create a new account and configure a payment method.

L’app is available on the Apple App Store and Google Play for Android. A web version is also in development, according to the AMDM.

Used by more than 800,000 people in Montreal, the old application of the mobile service cost the sustainable mobility agency. In 2024, nearly $ 940,000 was paid to the Passport company for its operation. In comparison, the new mobicity application, developed locally by Mirego, represents an investment of around $ 719,000.

If you want to access your parking history in P $ mobile service, you have until December 15, 2025 to do so. After this date, the application will be deleted definitively.

And for people without smartphones? It is always possible to pay a street payment terminal.
