YouTube Premium Lite arrives in France at € 7.99, but there is a big “but”

Last March, YouTube launched YouTube Premium Lite. This “pilot program” did not concern France. But, by way, the announcement was made this July 16 that this subscription offer would be completely deployed here in the coming weeks from today.

A more affordable premium offer for YouTube, but seriously restrained

YouTube Premium Lite is billed € 7.99/month. YouTube Premium very short is offered at € 12.99/month. Remember that the Premium Family YouTube offer recently climbed € 29.99/month.

For 5 € less therefore, YouTube Premium Lite offers a more affordable price to remove advertising on “The majority of YouTube videos“. To try to convince, Youtube indicates:”YouTube Premium Lite is designed for spectators who are looking for an experience without advertising for gaming content and various thematic videos such as comedy, cooking, learning, and more.

YouTube

YouTube is above all a participatory video streaming site where each user (professional and private) can create their own universe and share all their videos with others.

On the other hand, advertising is relevant again when it comes to music and musical clips. Ads can also appear in shorts, during research or during navigation in the application. In addition, the features for downloading videos locally and reading in the background are reserved for the Premium offer.

It will be noted that last June Youtube already indicated to revise the number of advertisements posted within its Premium Lite offer. Nothing says that in the future such a maneuver will not be repeated.

When these lines are written, the Premium Lite YouTube offer is not yet visible on the YouTube offers page. According to Youtube, today it is 125 million subscribers who use YouTube Music and Premium Youtube. The firm also promises: “In the future, YouTube will continue to extend its premium pilot programs to other countries and enrich the advantages of existing subscriptions.
