Football: Yverdon takes the head of the League challenge, Carouge loses in Wil
The Vaudois won on the move to Raporswil (0-3). 45 km away, Etoile Carouge made a treading by losing against Wil (1-0).
Jason Gnakpa, who had to go out on injury just before the break, and Yverdon beat Rappierswil with authority on Friday evening on the third evening of the League challenge.
freshfocusYverdon therefore remains on a good series with two victories in the last two games and each time three goals scored. But Friday evening in the canton of Saint-Gall, it was the defensive seat of the Vaudois who convinced. Aside from a good shot, the Rapperswil attack did not have his say. It is therefore logically that Dejan Sorgic was able to put 0-1 (37th), on a slightly deflected strike.
In the second half, the North Vaudois were able to double the bet, after the defenders of Rapperswil forgot themselves a little in their replacement. They allowed Antonio Marchesano to launch in depth Patrick Weber, who did not miss the target (80th).
This same marchs even managed to register 0-3 (83rd) by playing with the two posts of goalkeeper Alan Omerovic. The neo-Promu ended up taking the water and Yverdon by taking the lead in the Challenge League ranking with six points in three games. Aarau, Stade Nyonnais, Vaduz and Neuchâtel Xamax will play this weekend.
Carouge sinks into the rankings
Earlier in the evening, Star Carouge began his meeting on the synthetic lawn of FC Wil, another poorly classified. With a draw in two games, the two opponents had to make points. And it was the Saint-Gallois who finally passed the shoulder.
The only purpose of the meeting was scored by Luan Abazi (76th). The Macedonian striker had only entered ten minutes before. This 1-0 finally rewarded the most offensive training: 17 shots at 8 in favor of FC Wil.
Opposite, Etoile Carouge was not sharp enough and once again proved that he was traveling very badly. The Genevans have won only one of their last ten games, all competitions, outside. And they stay on a series of five games without victory.
