SBB deploy 27 special trains for the Zurich Rave

SBB mobilize their resources to ensure the transport of hundreds of thousands of participants in the 32e Edition of LA Street Parade by Zurichscheduled for this Saturday, August 9. It is therefore very possible that the crowds exceed 920,000 visitors from last year. According to a press release from the SBB, 27 special trains will circulate across Switzerland to transport festival -goers to Zurich and ensure their return during the night.

In addition to the special trains, many regular convoys will be reinforced with additional cars to meet the high -awaited crowds. About 65 SBB employees will be deployed in Zurich stations to guide and inform travelers.

Public transport until dawn

SCBs recommend that participants favor the Zurich central station or that of Zurich ENGE, Stadelhofen station risking being particularly engorged. The Zurich Transport Community (ZVV) will extend its services until 4 a.m., with a special schedule for trams and bus, available on the ZVV application or on www.zvv.ch.

For people traveling from outside the ZVV and Z-PASS perimeter, the SBB recommend the purchase of the City-Ticket Zürich, valid on the day of the event and until 5 a.m. the next morning. Travelers from ZVV and Z-PASS regions are invited to obtain a daily card.

SBB traffic interrupted on the Friborg-Berne line

French-speaking feature: travelers going to Street Parade from Geneva or Lausanne will have to take into account the total traffic interruption on the Friborg-Berne line, due to scheduled maintenance work from June 27 to August 25, 2025. SPCs recommend taking special trains via Neuchâtel or Bienne. From Friborg, replacement buses are planned to Bern to then reach the train. The online schedule has been updated to offer the best correspondence.

The CFFs nevertheless invite all travelers to consult the online schedule before each trip, due to the numerous maintenance work under way on the rail network.
