Decryption – The American space agency is preparing the end of OCO observatories, however fully operational.
In the scientific world, it is amazement. If the extent of the budget cuts planned for NASA – a 25 % drop in the budget – generally still preserved from partisan struggles during its history, had already surprised last May, no one had seen this new presidential whim. According to an investigation by American public radio NPR, the Trump administration has indeed asked the space agency to prepare for the immediate abandonment of its two CO₂, OCO-2 and 3 observatories.
