San Francisco, June 25 (Xinhua) – The US high -tech company Google announced on Wednesday the launch of Gemini CLI (Command Line Interface), an agentic artificial intelligence tool designed to operate locally from development terminals.
This new tool connects Google Gemini IA models to local code bases and allows developers to formulate requests in natural language, said the company.
Google offers AI coding tools such as Gemini Code Assist. With the release of Gemini CLI, he competes in direct competition with other command online AI tools such as Codex CLI D’OPENAI and Claude Code of Anthropic.
The company said it has designed this tool so that it can also perform other tasks. Developers can use Gemini CLI to create videos with Google’s VEO 3 model, generate research relationships with the company Deep Research agent or access real -time information via Google Search.
Google also puts Gemini Cli in open source under Apache 2.0 license. Free users can make 60 quenches per minute and 1,000 requests per day. According to Google, this represents approximately double the average number of requests made by developers when they use the tool.â–
