A restaurateur in distress, a solicitation and the trip of Philippe Etchebest in Messiah to save the establishment in danger … The Plat-DESSERT FORMA from “Nightmare in the kitchen” is known and not always carrying a prosperous future for entrepreneurs in difficulty. However, in the episode rebroadcast this Saturday, June 21, 2025 by M6 (and discovered in June 2018), Julien Basilico implored the strong head of “Top Chef” to help his father Tony, at the head of an Italian restaurant in Besancon. A somewhat special call since it was not a question of attracting customers to the pizzeria called “the St-Nicola”, almost completed every day, but of setting up internal conflicts and a broken communication. The authoritarian boss with his employees was accused of putting a bad atmosphere in the kitchen, which resulted on a laborious organization. Tony was therefore pushed into his entrenchments by his exceptional visitor and ended up listening to his advice. For what assessment?

In the aftermath of the first broadcasting of the number, the young man at the origin of this call for help had entrusted “the East Republican” that this emergency mission had made it possible to soften the character of his father, without however upsetting him in his “Old school methods”. “I think he understood the lesson. However, Philippe Etchebest gave the employees a new impetus, and activity in the city center of Besançon, even slowed down during the Cavid period, did not stop. The restaurant retains a good attendance from this television passage, and harvests very positive opinions on Google and Tripadvisor with a note of 4.5 stars out of 5. It is now Julien who officiates in the management of the establishment, his paternal having transmitted the relay to him. “Yes, I made the crazy decision to buy St Nicola”he said on Facebook in November 2024. He renewed the card, the decoration but kept Bastien in the kitchen with the intention “To bring the best of Italy, with love, passion, good wine … and perhaps some blunders along the way”. Finally, he pointed out to be in contact with the best worker in France.
