But why take an interest in the biodiversity ? Are they just plants and animals? Well not only, there are extraordinary living organizations that we do not see but especially biodiversity is essential to the processes that support all of life on earth, including that of humans. We are part of this large canvas during the living. For example, we shelter in and on our body mushrooms, bacteria and viruses which are directly linked to those around us. With the ecologist Franck Courchamp, Director of research 1re class at CNRS, at the National Institute of Ecology and Environment. He heads at Paris-Saclay University, a research team on the dynamics of biodiversity and the impacts of human activities on ecosystems and species. He is a professor at Collège de France on the biodiversity and ecosystems chair.
