Jura Minister Martial Courtet withdrew from the center list for elections to the government, his party announced on Thursday evening. He thus responded to the request of the steering committee which considers that he no longer represents the party line after an overwhelming audit.
(Keystone-ATS) Martial Courtet informed the president of the Jura Mathieu Cerf Center on Thursday afternoon, by message, that he would honor the wish of the steering committee by withdrawing from the Jura Center list for this fall elections. He said that he would not go to the extraordinary congress on Friday in Glovelier.
In a press release, the steering committee welcomes this decision which he considers the most beneficial for all the actors concerned and for the stability of the party.
“I need time to think. Again context, new reflection, ”said Martial Courtet in a message to Keystone-Ats. “It is not a reflection to be taken lightly, it is a choice that engages me with the Jura population.”
