A new bar-restaurant opened Thursday in the Geneva-Plage perimeter. His name? The dendê, taken from an African palm name. It wants to be more popular with more affordable prices than Voiles by Geneva-Plage And it is entirely managed by the Geneva-Plage association (AGP).

Today, she is a clean sweep of the past by opening up an entirely redone space. A natural wooden esplanade replaces the white sofas of the sails and includes a restaurant area and a lounge bar area. A new sandy beach hosts deckchairs against the lake, which can be rented by day. “We want to maintain a correct price level in order to be accessible to the entire population,” emphasizes Jean-Daniel Roehrich, the president of the AGP. The restaurant offers dishes from local products, grills, salads and pizzas.

The entrance to the dendê is always done separately, along the nautical, but it is also accessible by the beach. Opened in the evening only for the moment, the restaurant offers raw products, details the director of Geneva-Plage, Christian Marchi. “We favor cooking in wood fire and coal. On the menu: barbecue meat, fish and grilled vegetables, salads, pizzas and focaccias cooked in an authentic Neapolitan oven. ”
