In order to prepare the passengers for a strike or a lockout on Saturday, Air Canada put in place certain measures and indicates the procedure to follow to its passengers we reproduce everything here.

“A work interruption planned by the SCFP, the union representing 10,000 Air Canada and Red Air Canada online agents, is expected to start on Saturday August 16 at 1 a.m. (HE).
In order to provide our customers with a clear portrait of the situation, we started the gradual stop of most of our activities, which should be completed over the next two days.
-If you have reserved a flight between August 15 and 18 and want to take other travel arrangements, you can change your flight at no cost if you have bought a Canada Air ticket or exchanged points for a airline premium at the latest on August 13, 2025.
-If your trip is planned during this period, you can recover your reservation to modify your flight at no cost, on another date between August 21 and September 12, 2025.
-If you have bought a non -refundable price ticket, you can cancel your route and receive a refund for the unused part of your ticket in your AC portfolio or in the form of a credit for a future trip that you can apply to your next reservation from Air Canada.
-If you bought your Air Canada vacation ticket, please communicate directly with the latter.
-If you choose to keep your current reservation and that your flight is canceled due to an interruption of work, Air Canada will try to reserve a place on another flight, possibly operated by another carrier.
However, during summer peak periods, the maximum capacity of Air Canada and other carriers is limited, which means that it is unlikely that we can offer you another flight in an acceptable time. In the event of an operating disturbance, you can still opt for a refund.
