The small two-seater tourist plane which was damaged Tuesday in Lake Geneva off Vevey (VD) was out of the water on Friday afternoon. The accident had not been injured serious. Pollution has been evaluated as low.
(Keystone-ATS) “The recovery operations of the aircraft, off the Pichette beach in Corseaux, near Vevey, took place using a barge specially chartered in the area, equipped with a crane and a winch,” David Guisolan, spokesperson for the Vaud cantonal police, told Keystone. They were carried out by the Swiss Security Inquiry Service (SESE), in coordination with the Lacustre Brigade of the Vaud Police.
Divers have made sure of all the controls underwater, in particular the fixing of the ropes and the winching cable, explained the spokesperson. The wreck was about 30 meters deep.
