Meeting on Friday June 20, 2025 in ordinary session, the Val-de-Travers General Council validated several major objects on the agenda, including the 2024 annual accounts, the adaptation of the treatments of municipal employees and support for Blatten.
A session marked by several important decisions
41 members of the General Council were summoned for this summer session. The agenda was slightly modified at the start of the session to integrate a new point: a project of interpretted decree in favor of municipal support in Blatten, adopted in stride.
The General Council then approved the 2024 annual accounts without major debate. He also took note, with thanks, of the 2024 management reports as well as the 2024-2028 legislature program.
Adaptation of municipal wages: the PS/Pop amendment rejected
One of the notable points concerned the adaptation of the treatments of municipal employees. An amendment jointly proposed by the PS and Pop groups, aimed at granting the level and compensation of the IPC from January 1, 2025, was refused by the majority of the council.
Compensation also paid into local currency
Another significant decision: the modification of the decree relating to the compensation of the members of the General Council and the political parties. An amendment of the municipal council was supported unanimously: allowances can now be paid not only in Swiss francs, but also in local “val ‘”, or any other equivalent currency, at the request of the parties.
Post in Couvet: the recommendation of the classified PLR
The General Council also classified the recommendation of the PLR group in favor of maintaining a local postal service in Couvet, without following a follow -up.
Renewal of the office for 2025-2026
At the end of the session, the new general council office was appointed by tacit election for the upcoming legislative year. The presidency returns to Mr. Adrien Pagnier (PLR). He will be supported by:
