Two suspects aged 19 and 24 were placed in police custody on Saturday evening in Lyon, during the music festival.
They are suspected of having administered bite to the syringe to two young women in the crowd.
According to information collected by The Parisianthese arrests took place in the Place Bellecour and Place Antonin-Poncet area, in the city center of Lyon.
The two victims, who came to enjoy the entertainment of the music festival, presented traces of bites at the level of the thigh and the arm.
These facts are part of a national wave of similar assaults that occurred during the evening of June 21. According to a security document, 131 victims and 14 attackers were identified in France on Sunday evening. The Ministry of the Interior initially mentioned a total of 145 cases in France and overseas.
In Lyon, the two accused were arrested on the sidelines of the evening, which led to a total of 11 arrests over the whole night. An investigation is underway to determine the specific motivations of the authors. Fortunately, the syringes would have been empty.
