Friday, the authorities announced that the analyzes carried out in butcheries suspected of being behind these poisoning had confirmed traces of contamination by the bacteria E.coli. The prefecture lists three events organized in recent days “during which meat from closed butcher shops was consumed”: a football tournament in Saint-Quentin, a mini-basket festival in Gauchy and the fair of the Etaves-et-Bocquiaux school.
“No case of severe food poisoning among the participants of these events was noted at this time,” said the prefecture, inviting participants to monitor their state of health.
