The heat wave which is currently falling on France forced the authorities to take action on traffic, especially in Ile-de-France. Restrictions were therefore decided from this Monday in the region, the Paris police headquarters (PP) announced on Sunday.
For Monday day, “Airparif, air quality monitoring association in ÃŽle-de-France, provides for an ozone concentration between 180 and 210 µg/m³, an exceeding of the information-controlling threshold for this pollutant, fixed at 180 µg/m³”, explains the PP in a press release.
Within a perimeter delimited by the A86
“The hot weather and the sunshine announced until next week next week being conducive to the increase in ozone concentrations”, the prefect of police Laurent Nuñez has established traffic restrictions, starting with the reduction of the maximum speed authorized inside the perimeter delimited by the A86 to the exclusion of it.
Thus, it will be necessary to drive at 110 km/h maximum on the parts normally limited to 130 km/h; at 90 km/h on the portions of highways and fast tracks normally limited to 110 km/h; At 70 km/h on the portions of highways and fast tracks normally limited to 90 km/h as well as on the national and departmental roads limited to 80 km/h.
