Vernier will transform his park into an artistic scene for a weekend
The Chauvet-Lullin park will host three free evenings from August 8 to 10. Various performances await visitors in a green setting.
The Chauvet-Lullin park will welcome from August 8 to 10, three evenings of free outdoor shows, as the city of Vernier announces on son site web. This varied artistic program will combine jazz, contemporary dance, visual arts and festive music in a green setting.
On Friday August 8 at 6:30 p.m., Lemanic Jazz Workshop will open the festivities with a jazz improvisation concert, a workshop where musicians and musicians will present their creations.
An evening dedicated to the scene arts
Saturday August 9 will offer a double programming. At 8 pm, the Oops Dance Company will present “Champions in pack”, a contemporary dance piece exploring the themes of female strength and solidarity. This representation benefits from a partnership with the unforgettable.
At 9:30 p.m., the collective L’Espace Canicular will invest the park with a nomadic artistic device. This multidisciplinary performance will combine music, writing, visual art, staging and scenography through baskets filled with stories, objects and sounds. Inspired by the medieval imagination, the collective will offer a contemporary rereading of the past. This restitution of artistic residence is part of the 6th intrepid biennial of the Arts of Geneva (BIG) and benefits from the support of the Engelberts Foundation.
Festive fence with the wolf fanfare
On Sunday August 10 at 7 p.m., the wolf fanfare will close the weekend with “Le Bal de la Fontaine”. The musical ensemble will offer an eclectic repertoire ranging from jazz to funk, promising a festive atmosphere to finish these three days of shows.
All the events are free entry and will take place in the open air at the Chauvet-Lullin park.
