Euro 2025 is gone! | Vaudoise prison overpopulation | Switzerland approaches Mercosur
Most of the day of July 2, 2025.
Daphéé’s Harmel
Let’s go for Euro 2025!
The time has come. Over 600,000 spectators expected in stadiumsmillions of other loans to follow the competition at a distance. Passionate, curious, detractors, who will end up swallowing the euro to all sauces to satisfy their spirit of contradiction. Football, sweat, cohorts of supporters, laughter, tears, dressed debates sometimes of relevance, sometimes in bad faith. Euro 2025 is there and it starts this Wednesday with Iceland-Finland (6 p.m.) and, above all, entry into the running of Nati against Norway in Basel (9 p.m.)!
Prison: why Geneva and Vaud have heavy hand
A research funded by the Swiss National Fund points to prison overcrowding which mainly affects Geneva and Vaud. According to the study, the cause is neither the lack of detention places, nor a particular crime to these cantons, but a more punitive culture of their authorities. These data, according to the French laboratory on prison decreases, argue to strengthen alternatives to incarceration.
Switzerland has concluded a free trade agreement with Mercosur
Switzerland and the other Member States of the European Free Trade Association (AELE) concluded this Wednesday a free trade agreement with Mercosur, according to the AELE. The agreement should save up to 180 million francs a year, but it is not unanimous, especially in agricultural circles. On the political spectrum either, since the Greens already brandish the referendum.

Insurers to assault the Wegovy
Anti -abbeys drugs such as Wegovy are in the viewfinder of the disease boxes. The latter fear that the increase in prescriptions will have an explosion in health costs. The president of the Eurobesitas association, Dominique Durrer, denies it, explaining that the prescriptions are highly regulated in Switzerland. The drug would notably avoid enormous costs linked to the complications of obesity and its generic version could also reduce these costs.
What films go see this week?
This Wednesday’s cinema outings reserve good and less good. Fortunately there is a life around «Jurassic World»who bored us well. So we find good thriller with “Rapaces”, nice animation with “Falcon Express”, a bit of meditation with the documentary “Samsara”, a black comedy signed Dupieux (“The piano accident”) and a forgetful romantic comedy with “Materists”.
