The users of the Quebec-Lévis crossing will have to find an alternative in the coming days while the service will be completely interrupted from Thursday evening.
This judgment due to a strike by non -patented employees affiliated with the CSN should cause a few headaches while it occurs in the middle of the Quebec Summer Festival.
The last crossing will be at 10:30 p.m. Thursday evening, from Quebec to Lévis. All the other crossings provided for the schedule will be canceled from this moment.
The crosspieces will then resume Monday July 14 at 6 a.m. from Lévis to Quebec, according to the usual schedule.
Recall that a few weeks ago, the members of the National Union of Quebec – CSN passenger through 90% adopted a mandate of means of pressure including unlimited strike days.
The latter denounce a lack of seriousness in negotiations when they have always been without collective agreement since 1is avril 2023.
Difficult trips
Travel could also be more complicated in the coming days since a strike could also be launched by the Capital Transport Network Syndicate (RTC) from Friday, if no agreement is found by then between the two parties.
The shuttles for the FEQ and the RTC buses could not circulate on Friday, on the second day of the festival, while the strike could continue until July 13.
The transport service on Thursday would however be maintained and ends in the night, according to the schedules planned and without impact. The shuttles for the FEQ would therefore remain in service Thursday evening.
