Virgin Australia’s VA337 flight had a clandestine passenger in her holds. According to information from ABC News, an inner flight in Australia had to wait until Tuesday before taking off after the discovery of a snake.
The animal was discovered while passengers embarked at Melbourne airport in order to go to Brisbane. The flight was in total delayed by two hours.
A snake ultimately harmless
According to ABC, “the snake turned out to be a harmless green arboreal snake of 60 centimeters”. Mark Pelley, responsible for capturing the serpent, thought of the start that he could be poisonous when he had to approach it in the dark hold.
In order not to get caught, the snake had half hidden behind a panel. The fear was that he did not disappear on the plane. It would then have been necessary to evacuate the device. Fortunately, Mark Pelley was able to catch him the first time. The Boeing 737 will therefore not have needed to be dismantled.
