On the occasion of the national awareness-raising days of Parkinson’s disease, the France Parkinson Saône-et-Loire association organized a conference Tuesday afternoon at the Center for Medical and Rehabilitation (SMR) Marguerite-Boucicaut in Chalon-sur-Saône. This meeting was led by Doctor Gwendoline Dupont, a neurologist at the Dijon University Hospital Center, who presented the medical advances and answered many questions from the public. The association’s delegates then spoke to share their actions on the territory and encourage exchanges with the participants.
A Tour de France in 2026 to raise funds
Two members of the association, residing in Ménetreuil, Martine Godefroid, 63, and her husband, Philippe Godefroid, 68, suffering from Parkinson’s disease, presented their ambitious project for 2026: accompanied by their Ruby dog and their guitar, they will carry out a Tour de France in Citroën 2 CV, departing from Louhans, intended to raise funds to the actions of the association.
A call to volunteers
The French Parkinson 71 team today wishes to strengthen its presence in the department by creating new local branches. The association is calling for volunteers: anyone wishing to get involved is welcome.
