Guarantee the fluidity and safety of MRE traffic. This is the objective targeted by the Tangier Med port by activating its special device as part of Operation Marhaba. Human, technical and logistical resources have been mobilized to accommodate Moroccans in good conditions. The system provides regulated access to the port between 1ᵉʳ and August 31, 2025. During the period, only travelers with a closed ticket will be authorized to enter the port, the port authority said in a press release. The measurement aims to avoid traffic jams and ensure a fluidity of traffic, especially during periods of strong crowds.

Other measures planned: the dissemination of updated information on the official website of the Tanger Med Passengers, as well as on official accounts on social networks and Tangier Med radio, available on frequency 100FM. Port authorities invite the MREs to regularly consult traffic forecasts on its information channels in order to choose a crossing date outside critical periods, both during the first leg and the return phase of the transit operation. For the first leg, traffic jams are scheduled from July 18 to 21 and from August 1 to 4. For the return phase, the periods ranging from 1ᵉʳ to July 4, and from July 8 to 11, or from August 18 to 31, are less critical.

The period between August 14 and 27 is not recommended. The MREs are invited to travel during the first half of July for the first phase and the beginning of September for the return phase. The Marhaba operation takes place every year from June 15 to September 15. It allows Moroccans from Europe to rally Morocco via Andalusian or land and air ports to spend their summer vacation.
