A duo of New Brunswick teachers runs through the islands as part of a pan-departmental journey in favor of mental health.
Caroline Benoit and Lucette Hachey Laskey, alias the trotting tripers, gave themselves the challenge of crossing the country by car and hiking in each province.
The idea came to them in 2020, during the Pandemic of COVID-19, when they started to discover their city when walking. The following year, the two women raised their project for a notch.
In 2024, Caroline Benoît and Lucette Hachey Laskey officially embarked on their adventure from one end of Canada. Their project made them travel from east to west, and led them to go around the archipelago since June 29.
They combined with the Canadian Mental Health Association of New Brunswick in order to collect donations for the cause.
