Slight increase in unemployment rate in the Jura

The unemployment rate has a slight increase in the Jura. At the end of June, it increased by 0.1 point to stand at 5%. This represents 39 unemployed more than at the end of May. In total, 2,306 job seekers were registered with the Regional Placement Office (ORP), including 1,781 unemployed and 525 non -unemployed job seekers, indicate the figures communicated by the canton of Jura this Friday. The authorities specify that the active population has been updated at the Swiss level, going from 36,270 to 35,902 people in the canton, involving the increase in the unemployment rate.

All job seekers followed at Orp increased by 39 people in June, which represents 6.4% of the active population domiciled in the Jura. The Orp opened 259 files and closed 231 during the past month. Compared to the same period last year, the unemployment rate has an increase of 1.1 points. In total, 102 Jura companies used the reductions in the work schedule (RHT) in June, 12 less than in May.

The unemployment rate was 5.2% in the Delémont district, 5.3% in that of Porrentruy and 3.4% in that of the Franches-Montagnes. At the national level, unemployment set up at 2.7% in June. /comm-gtr
