Intermarché launched a massive recall campaign Thursday concerning chicken from its Volée range, marketed between June 14 and 27. This cooked roast net has a cooking defect and can therefore be dangerous for the consumer.
The product was packed under vacuum, in 450 g cardboard trays. The lot concerned by the recall is 0235133592, with a consumption date on September 3, 2025, and bears the following health mark: FR 61 096 018 CE. It was sold in all the intermarché signs of the territory, in the fresh department.
Development of bacteria
The poorly cooked chicken has risks of food poisoning. Raw meat can indeed see the salmonella developing, the Campylobacter bacteria, or the Trichinella worm. The main symptoms remain nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or acute gastroenteritis.
If most cases are mild, with healing after a few days, others can be more serious. “People whose immune system is fragile – as a result of treatment or illness -, the elderly, pregnant women and newborns can be more sensitive to it,” explains the website of the Ministry of Agriculture.
To bring in stores
It is therefore advisable not to consume the intermarché chicken. You can destroy it or bring it in point of sale for a refund, before July 11th.
