Construction is the most affected sector with a record number of 1,481 bankruptcies over the first six months of the year, an increase of 10.4% in one year. A record number of bankruptcies has also been recorded in the transport and storage sector: 403 bankruptcies were recorded. This represents an increase of 8.6% compared to the previous record in 2024.
For the month of June 2025 alone, 1,134 bankruptcies were recorded. This is an increase of 28% compared to May 2025 (886). This number is also higher than that of June in 2024 (+4.2%) and in 2023 (+3.8%).
The number of bankruptcies recorded in June 2025 has also increased in all sectors of activity compared to May. The most affected sector, the construction saw 288 companies put the key under the doormat last month, which led to the loss of 564 jobs.
