That’s it, everyone is coming out about the water. The heat wave, which punctuates the news in recent days, is being evacuated from the south. If 15 departments were still on alert this Saturday, July 5, 2025, the situation improved for Sunday.
In its 4 p.m. bulletin, Météo France now places eight orange alert departments for “heat wave”. These are Aude, Bouches-du-Rhône, Gard, Hérault, Pyrénées-Orientales and Vaucluse.
From now on, it is no longer this risk that predominates on the card of the weather organization. Indeed, Thunderstorms are making a comebackas logic wants.

Where do we expect thunderstorms this Sunday?
The perturbation Arrival this handle this Saturday is sinking into the country. In the morning, rains cross a large northwest quarter to the Ardennes, the center and Poitou-Charentes.
“Some storm developments are possible in the morning on the Norman region“, Specifies Météo France in its bulletin.
In the afternoon, the rains shift north of New Aquitaine to the Hauts de France and in Lorraine and Burgundy. They mingle with thunderstorms from the center to the borders of the North.
In the south, the sky remains bright in general despite a veiled sun. But the thunderstorms will quickly come back, to explode again in the afternoon on eastern Pyrenees, on the southern Alps and the Corsican mountain.
