On the side of the East Audois, the strongest temperatures is expected this Sunday, August 10 with 40 ° C in Narbonne and Lezignan despite a sustained west wind. It will be much better on the coast with maximums not exceeding 34 ° C all next week.
Météo France notes that the Mediterranean departments will thus be subject to “Strong sensitivity to forest fires”. Regarding drought, the institute points out “that with the very low precipitation planned and the increase in future temperatures, the soils should continue to dry up in the coming days. They could reach a situation close to the historically dry levels observed in Occitania”.
