“The question of normalization (…) is not considered in the current Lebanese foreign policy”said the head of state. It is the first official Lebanese reaction to the words of the Israeli Foreign Affairs Minister Gideon Saar, who said on June 30 that Israel was “interested” by normalization with Syria and Lebanon.

According to Mohammad al-Moughayyir, an official of this organization, ten people were notably killed by Israeli army fire while they were waiting to receive humanitarian aid near Rafah, in southern Gaza.

Six other Palestinians died in air bombings around Khan Younès, also in the south of the coastal strip, said the Civil Defense, which had brought the death of seven people earlier on the night of Thursday to Friday.

“The situation remains extremely difficult in the area”

Nuseirat’s Al-Awda Hospital also reported wounded after being wiped out Israeli fires near a food aid distribution in the center of the Gaza Strip. Israeli armored vehicles were in the Al-Maslakh area, near Khan Younès, in the south of the Palestinian territory, according to a witness.

“The situation remains extremely difficult in the area: fed fire, intermittent air strikes, artillery bombings, as well as the continuation of destruction by bulldozers in the displaced camps and agricultural land in the south, west and north of Al-Maslak”said the witness who asked to keep anonymity at AFP.

Contacted by AFP, the Israeli army said it was unable to respond immediately. Given the restrictions imposed on the media by Israel in the Gaza Strip and the difficulties of access to the field, AFP is not able to independently check the balance sheets and assertions of the various parties.
