A serious road accident on Saturday evening near Cologne cost the lives of four teenagers. The driver, a 16 -year -old, is the only survivor. Seriously injured, he fled after the accident before being found by the police, hidden under a mobile home parked nearby.
A risky maneuver before the drama
According to the Cologne prosecution, the young driver would have doubled a motorcyclist just before the accident. When he reinforced on the road, he would have lost control of the vehicle. “The Red Toyota probably struck a high -speed tree and has made several barrels,” said the newspaper Bild.

Four young victims
Four passengers lost their lives in the accident: a 14 -year -old girl from Cologne, another 16 -year -old from Bergisch Gladbach, as well as two 19 -year -old boys, one from Bergisch Gladbach and the other from Overath. Rescue has taken a blood sample from the driver to determine if he had consumed alcohol or narcotics. The results are not yet known.
Current survey, but no detention
Despite the severity of the facts, the 16 -year -old adolescent was not placed in pre -trial detention. It is the subject of an inquiry in manslaughter and dangerous conduct. According to the prosecution, there is no risk of flight, the young man with a fixed home.
