During their approach in Toulouse, the pilots of an Air Algeria flight were wrong from airport. It was only at the very last minute that they made their error and gave the gases.
It is a relatively rare flight incident that occurred yesterday morning, Tuesday August 12, 2025, above Toulouse. Air Algeria Boeing 737 pilots almost landed at the wrong airport. The crew only realized at the very last moment that he was preparing to land in Francazal and not in Blagnac as planned. Both airports are around fifteen kilometers away.

VIDEO. 170 hectares, a 1,800 m track, 80 planes: Toulouse-Francazal Airport seen from the sky
While the air traffic control had authorized them to land on the Toulouse Blagnac Left 32 track, the crew has set sail, without anyone knowing why, at Toulouse-Francazal airport. Aligned on French track 29 of Francazal, the Boeing 737 continued its descent until the pilots realize, in extremis, their error. While the plane was only at an altitude of 750 m, they quickly put the gases by warning air traffic control and rose to 1,200 m, as evidenced by the data from the Flightradar24 site.
After making a loop to position itself in the axis of the Toulouse-Blagnac left 32 left track this time, the device finally landed without incident at 12:06. The trajectory error led to only five short minutes. Contacted, the South Civil Aviation Safety Department (DSAC/South) said it was in contact with the airline to shed light on this incident.

In fact, the Air Algeria Boeing 737-800 could have landed safely on the Toulouse-Francazal track. It is indeed 1,800 m long and 45 m wide. But it is not certain that the passengers would have appreciated. For information, this airport located south of the pink city has not welcomed any regular commercial flight since June 2011.
