A Canadian festival -goer goes to Tomorrowland in … electric scooter on the highway: “He probably followed his GPS”

Blindly following his GPS, a Canadian festival -goer found himself circulating on the E19 motorway in electric scooter, direction Tomorrowland. The police quickly took care of it, without sanction.

Motorists who circulated Friday around 4 p.m. on the E19, just after the Craeybeckx tunnel towards Brussels, had a funny surprise: a man with electric scooter was circulating in the middle of dense traffic. Alerted, the road police quickly intervened to secure the situation.

The man in question, a Canadian national, simply tried to join Tomorrowland in Boom, one of the biggest electronic music festivals in the world. “It was a Canadian who went to Tomorrowland. He probably followed his GPS without paying attention to the signaling, which accidentally led him to the highway, “said Jana Verdegem, spokesperson for the federal police.

No fine, but a beautiful fright

Fortunately, the incident took place without accident or injured. A road police patrol escorted the man out of the highway and helped him continue his journey through more appropriate paths. It has not been verbalized, and no judicial follow -up will be given to the case.

History, widely relayed on social networks, arouses as much fun as amazement. It recalls the importance of remaining vigilant in the face of GPS navigation indications, which do not always take into account the specific traffic prohibitions for non -motorized vehicles. One thing is certain: this Canadian festival -goer is not likely to forget his arrival in Tomorrowland.
