We know more about the death of a man whose body was found lifeless in Ghent this Wednesday evening. The victim is actually a 56-year-old social worker, who made domiciliary visits, confirmed the Parquet of Flanders on Thursday. The occupant of the apartment where the last visit took place, a 38 -year -old man, was able to be arrested later.
The alert was given by a colleague from the victim who did not see him come back from his tour, called the police. The agents found the body of the victim to the address of his last visit. An investigation was opened. The investigating judge, the scientific laboratory and a medical examiner went to the scene.
The resident was not present, but the suspect was arrested in the city center after some research. He is currently questioned and will probably be presented to the investigating judge, who will decide his placement in detention. An autopsy will also be practiced on the victim.
The day before, already in Ghent, a woman had been found dead in suspicious circumstances. There is no link between the two cases.
