Frosting scene this Wednesday in Colfontaine. The team of the Disaster Team (ADT) animal was faced with a case of animal abuse that leaves speechless. Alerted by a neighbor, the volunteers discovered a deer seriously injured by a crossbow arrow, in a district on the edge of the forest.
“The investigation carried out on the spot revealed that the act had been voluntarily perpetrated by a resident living on the edge of the forest, exasperated by the regular presence of the animal in its garden”specifies the association. According to the first elements, this resident would have shot the deer on the grounds that his presence “Dis on his dog”.
A justification which, for the members of ADT, borders on the absurd. “This aberrant justification has left our team stunned by the free and shocking cruelty of this act”entrusts the team again.
The animal, injured on the back, was immediately taken care of. It is now closely followed in a Creaves center, specializing in wildlife. He spent the night in the center of Perwez, where he receives intensive veterinary care and remains under close surveillance. His prognosis remains reserved.
A complaint was filed with the authorities. An investigation is underway to formally identify the shooter and establish the facts. ADT, for its part, requests that exemplary sanctions be taken.
