A fire declares itself near Carcassonne: the fire travels 40 hectares, 10 people are evacuated

Around 5 p.m. on Monday, June 30, a fire broke out in a field in Montredon, near Carcassonne. Forty hectares were traveled before the fire was fixed.

Arrived quickly on site, the firefighters brought in the water bomber helicopters which operated two drops. In total, 103 fire soldiers were dispatched to the site with 23 devices to stop the propagation of the flames.
A 100 m2 hangar, close to a house, was slightly affected by the flames.

Note that 10 people were also evacuated. On site, a dozen gendarmes secured the sector.
