“Fire truck on the E411 before Weyler. Highway closed, ”Sabrina writes to us via the orange button alert us.
A truck took over this Thursday on the E411 motorway on Thursday up to Heinsch. The flames appeared around noon. The hit truck was circulating in the direction of Namur with insulating panels on board, said the Luxembourg rescue area.
“As it is a brooding fire – due to the presence of these insulating panels – the intervention takes time,” explained the firefighters.
The fire required the closure of the road to Heinsch, at the exit 30, in the direction of Namur, the police said. “Closed pavement, dangerous situation,” said the federal police on infoutes.
At the beginning of the afternoon, the fire was under control but the highway remained closed to traffic to allow the troubleshooting operations, detailed the emergency services. “The users circulating on this highway are invited to bypass the area by borrowing the N82 and N4 near Arlon,” advised the road police, insisting that the situation was dangerous.
As for the driver, “he saw smoke on the right side and had time to line up on the side and leave his truck before he caught fire,” said the firefighters at the Luxembourg Meuse.
The firefighters of Arlon, Aubange, Libramont and Etille were mobilized for this operation, as well as police means.
