Several companies in the Bayers Lake industrial park, near Halifax, were forced to be evacuated on Tuesday afternoon due to a forest fire around Susie Lake Crescent.

According to information from Global Newsthe flames could be seen to the west of the capital of Nova Scotia.
The Bayers Lake firefighters were called around 2:30 p.m. to fight unaccuee fire, the municipality said in a statement.

A little before 5 p.m., 13 firefighters and a helicopter were on the scene.
Two tankers from New Brunswick were called in reinforcement to Susie Lake Crescent, reported Global News.

In a Facebook publication, the Ministry of Emergency Management in Nova Scotia has told the population to avoid the area and not to use drones near the fire.
“Forest fire smoke can affect air quality,” said the government of the Canadian province.
