The Jurassic and Provost authorities complete their device for the integration of the population of Moutier in the canton of the Jura. A practical guide will be distributed this Tuesday to all the provost households, the municipality of Moutier and the Jura Government announce this Monday. This reference document responds to the main questions related to the change of canton on January 1, 2026: taxation, social benefits, health, mobility or administrative procedures. The authorities specify that most of these procedures will be done automatically between the Bernese and Jurassic administrations. A digital version of this regularly updated guide will be available on the site www.moutierdanslejura.ch.
A telephone hotline will also offer direct support and a personalized advice system. A one -stop shop will open on January 6, 2026 in Moutier and will bring together on a site the main cantonal administrative services.
The authorities finally recall that the inhabitants of Moutier, as well as persons of foreign nationality fulfilling the legal conditions, will benefit from new political rights this fall. /comm-gtr
