Several flights were delayed at Vancouver Vancouver International Airport due to an incident on airspace on Tuesday afternoon.

The Royal Canada Gendarmerie (RCMP) in Richmond, British Columbia, received a call around 1:10 p.m. concerning a small plane by an individual on the island of Vancouver, according to information from Global News. He was alone on board.
The device landed safely around 1:45 p.m. The suspect was arrested on the landing track.
Some police vehicles have been deployed to the scene, according to Internet users on social networks. Several images show a man getting out of the plane with their hands in the air, while police officers point to weapons towards him.
In all, nine planes were diverted to other airports during the intervention which lasted 39 minutes, said Vancouver Vancouver Vancouver Airport.
The flight schedule returned to normal at the start of the evening.
