In recent weeks, Moscow has launched a record number of drones and missiles in Ukrainian cities, attacks that have killed dozens of civilians.
On Sunday afternoon, “the enemy attacked a bus carrying civilians using a drone,” said the region’s prosecutor’s office on Telegram, accompanying his message of photos of the destroyed vehicle.
“Three civilians were killed,” he added, adding that the victims were all women aged 66 to 78.
Ukrainian response
Ukraine has also intensified its reprisals in Russia. In the Saint Petersburg region, in the northwest of Russia, “a man died in a fire caused by debris of a drone,” said region governor Aleksandr Drozdenko, on Telegram, adding that three other people had been injured.
Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky recently insisted to meet his counterpart Vladimir Putin in order to end the war, kyiv offering talks by the end of August.
But Thursday, the Kremlin minimized the probability of such a meeting in the near future.
The two parties have radically different positions at the negotiating table, and Ukraine accused Russia of only sending low -level officials without decision -making.
Russia has called upon Ukraine to effectively assign four regions that Moscow claims to have annexed, a request that kyiv judges unacceptable.
Ukraine, on the other hand, begs its Western supports to send him more weapons so that his troops can resist the daily attacks of Russia.
