The Opel Mokka puts on the sports outfit. And it’s not just a plumage, the ramage is level with a 280 hp engine. This one is electric!
The GSE label returned to Opel a few years ago, to designate rechargeable hybrid sportsmen. Today it takes a new turn since GSE will now be 100 % electric.
This Mokka is thus the first electric sport in the German firm. The manufacturer still recalls that he has been offering an electric rally car for five years, on the basis of the Corsa, and that the Mokka GSE takes advantage of this experience.
The Mokka GSE benefits above all from a technical base which is starting to be well amortized at Stellantis, since we find a technical sheet similar to that of the Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce, Abarth 600e, Lancia Ypsilon HF or Peugeot E-208 GTI!
There is thus a block with a maximum power of 280 hp, which delivers a torque of up to 345 nm. This Mokka has a maximum speed of 200 km/h when the sport mode is activated (otherwise it is 180 km/h) and goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds.
We find the 54 kWh battery. Opel does not yet give autonomy, but it will necessarily take a blow, by passing under the 400 km in a mixed cycle.
The brand’s engineers revised management, chassis and brakes, so that they are adapted to sport driving. This traction model has a torsen self -locking differential with multiple discs.
On the side of the look, we are a bit in the game of the 7 errors as the changes are discreet. Of course, you cannot miss the huge 20 -inch rims with an unprecedented design, fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport EV tires (225/40). These hide stirrups before painted in yellow. An attentive eye will notice the GSE badge on the doors, the shields a little revised. But no huge aileron or a well -hungry artifice!
