A strange find at the Belgian coast: a funeral urn agreed on the beach, the police appeal to witness

An unusual discovery was made this Friday on Middelkerke beach, where a funeral urn was found on the beach. Local police appeal to find the family concerned.

It is a rather strange story that our colleagues from HLN report. The sea regularly deposits various objects on the beaches, but that discovered this Friday, August 1 in Middelkerke is out of the ordinary. A funeral urn was found failed on the sand, arousing the surprise of passers -by and local authorities.

The Middelkerke police shared a photo of the object on his social networks, accompanied by a message: “We do not know who belongs to this urn, but we would like it to be returned to its legitimate owner or to the family.”

We do not know if the urn has been forgotten on the beach or if it was lost at sea.

A call for witnesses was launched. Anyone with information is invited to contact the police at number 059 31 23 12 or by e-mail at the address: [email protected].
