A temporarily blocked hotel site in Brussels for social fraud: the seals were lifted

The intervention, conducted in the absence of a declaration of work (DDT), made it possible to note the presence of 12 workers, all not declared and mostly in an irregular stay. The seals were affixed to the chambers under renovation on the orders of the Bruxelles labor auditor. The CLS then conducted an in -depth analysis of the situation of the companies concerned and the workers present on the site.

Many elements have been verified and must still be

The investigation, still in progress, is heavy“Said the Labor Auditorate at the Belga agency.”Many elements have been verified and still have to be, due to the involvement of many subcontractors in Belgium and abroad.

The auditorate has conditioned the resumption of work on the payment of a guarantee of around 215,000 euros, intended in particular to cover social contributions and three months of salary. This guarantee having been paid this week, the seals were lifted.

The public prosecutor’s investigation continues. The auditorate recalls that the persons and companies concerned are presumed innocent and stresses that any site does not comply with social legislation or the security rules can be suspended on judicial order.
