A tourist who wanted to take an egoportrait with an elephant ended up trampled and the foufounes in the air

“When elephant angry, always do him like this.”

Good. We may be a little mixed in our Tintin classics, but the fact remains that in India, an elephant has the nerves after a tourist.

The somewhat special incident was captured near a temple in Karnataka, India, when a man identified as R. Basavaraju tried to take a self -portrait with a wild elephant.

The unconscious tourist would have entered a protected forest area, forbidden to access the public. According to witnesses, the flash of his camera has disturbed the elephant, which quickly stood nervous.

The beast then set off towards him, crossing the road before continuing him.

Panicked, the tourist tripped and found himself facing the asphalt.

The elephant caught up with him and trampled violently, tearing his clothes in passing and revealing his posterior in the big day.

After the attack, the animal returned to the forest, leaving the tourist injured in a minor manner.

Miraculously, Basavaraju survived and was transported to the hospital to receive care.

Forest authorities imposed a fine of 25,000 rupees (around 393 Canadian dollars) for illegal intrusion in a protected area.

Funny fact: he was also forced to record a video confession where he admits that he did not respect the safety rules in the wild environment, in order to dissuade other tourists who could be tempted to imitate him.
