The victim was taken to task by two men who refused to lower the sound during their trip by public transport on Sunday evening. The attackers also destroyed the laptop of a user who had interposed.
Incivility has turned to assault. Sunday, June 29, in Nantes (Loire-Atlantique), a woman who borrowed the tram in the city center, around 8:30 p.m., was unusual by two young men who listened to music on a speaker, at a high volume. Asking them to be kind enough to lower or cut the music, the user was immediately taken to task.
The two men surrounded their victim, insulted her before hitting her in the face. “The young men had taken it very badly that they are asked to lower the music. One of them took the young woman’s head to tackle her against the transport wall ”, specifies a Nantes police source.
An Algerian arrested
Another tram user ultimately intervened by interpoting between women and her attackers. In the brawl, the two men notably seized the user’s mobile phone before bursting on the ground.
At the end of the day, only one of the two attackers, an undocumented Algerian aged 23, was able to be arrested by the police, at the Cours des 50 hostages station. He was still in police custody on Monday morning. The victim, who had managed to escape from the tram after the user’s intervention, filed a complaint.
