Serious traffic accident in Därligen – several injuries
On Saturday afternoon there was a serious traffic accident on Saturday afternoon. The A8 is blocked in both directions.
The A8 on the southern shun of Thun has been closed between Interlaken-West and Därligen since noon. There are also traffic overloads on the Kantonsstrasse on the northern bank of Lake Thunersee.

A serious traffic accident occurred in the Bernese Oberland on Saturday afternoon. As the Bern cantonal police confirmed on request, there was a serious accident shortly before 12 noon between Interlaken-West and Därligen. Several people were injured. However, more detailed information could not be given at the moment.
The A8 has been blocked in both directions since noon between Interlaken-West and Därligen. Traffic is diverted via the cantonal road on the northern lake shore. Long traffic jams have formed in front of the accident site.
There are also traffic overloads on the Kantonsstrasse on the northern bank of Lake Thunersee. The TCS writes on its traffic jam website. How long the A8 will stay closed is still unclear.
