The importance of vitamin D

These telomeres shortese each time our cells are divided, and the shorter they are, the more our cells “Amail badly” And the risk of age -related diseases increases. The ideal would therefore be to have long telomeres! The group of participants was divided into two: one received no treatment, while the other has benefited from vitamin D supplementation.

The study revealed that, in the placebo group, the telomeres had clearly shortened, a sign of classic aging. On the other hand, among participants who received vitamin D, the decrease was much less marked, suggesting A slowdown in the cellular aging process.
